Schools/Recreation
Principal-in-Charge, Administrative Office Layout; Fergus Falls Public Schools. Code Review and floor plan layout of a 10,000-square-foot temporary administration office location. Space included open offices, toilets, lunch room, meeting rooms, storage and a practice facility for the Fergus Falls Gymnastics Program.
Staff Architect, Living, Learning Center - West; North Dakota State University; Fargo, North Dakota. 75,000 s.f., Four stories of classrooms and dormitory space included a 2-story foyer, classrooms, toilets, mechanical spaces, apartments and vertical circulation.
Staff Architect, Building Renovation; North Dakota State University; Fargo, North Dakota. Complete renovation of the historic Robb-Lawrence warehouse located in the heart of downtown Fargo. Design converted the warehouse into a school for the Visual Arts and Architecture program at NDSU.
Staff Architect, Building Addition; North Dakota State University; Fargo, North Dakota. The design included a 22,500-square-foot addition connecting Minard Hall to the Festival Concert Hall. Elements included in the design were classrooms, lecture halls, storage rooms, toilets, vertical circulation, commons, entrance lobby, coffee shop, gathering mezzanine and main circulation corridors.
Staff Architect, YMCA; Woodbury, Minnesota. Design of a 40,000-square-foot YMCA recreation center. Design elements included: 4-lane lap pool, zero-depth entry pool, water slide, spa/sauna, gymnasium, racquetball courts, multi-purpose room.
Assisted Living
Principal-in-Charge, Detox Center; Productive Alternatives Inc.; Fergus Falls, Minnesota. 10 bed; 3,500 s.f. detoxification facility. Spaces included: Sleeping rooms, seclusion rooms, community room, lunchroom/admittance, office space, laundry and showers.
Staff Architect, Good Samaritan – Assisted Living Facility; Larimore, North Dakota. 10 bed; 11,500 s.f. assisted living facility. Spaces included: 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, community room, offices, mechanical, exterior landscaping and circulation.
Commercial
Principal-in-Charge, Main Street Storefront Renovation; Main Street Program, Barnesville, MN. Complete renovation of existing storefronts along the Main Street Corridor. The project's focus was to bring back the storefronts, not to their original historical facades, but to respect and preserve the main street tradition by the use of color, materials, proportions of openings, rhythm of openings and the overall composition of each storefront. Total construction cost 1 million.
Project Manager, Corporate Department Stores; Kohls Department Stores; Menomonee Falls, WI. Stores ranged in size from 80,000–120,000 square feet. Total construction cost per store ranged between 3.4 million to 10.5 million depending on location and size.
Staff Designer, Central Offices; GTE; Freeman, South Dakota; St. Ansgar, Iowa; Grundy Center, Iowa; Onamia, Browndale, Blooming Prairie Mound and Kabatogama, Minnesota. Small centrally located offices throughout the Midwest region. Design included office space, toilets and switch rooms.
Military/Government
Staff Architect, Administrative Offices; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; Desoto National Wildlife Refuge, Harrison County, Iowa. Design of a new office and maintenance facility.
Staff Architect, Offices; Air Force Reserve; Minneapolis, Minnesota. Renovation of building 852 for the 934th Airlift Group.
Industrial
Principal-in-Charge, Maintenance Garage and Office Building; F.A.R. North Public Transit, Roseau, MN. The project included the design for a new office and maintenance garage. The project included floodproofing the entire building, 1000 s.f. office space and 2,700 s.f. maintenance space.
Project Architect, Manufacturing and Office Building; National Checking Company, St. Paul, MN. The project included the design for a new office and manufacturing facility, 30,000 s.f. of warehousing, 30,000 s.f. of manufacturing and 10,000 s.f. of office space.
Project Architect, Water Treatment Plant; Brandon, SD. The project includes the design of office space, locker room space, hazardous material storage and water filtering system. The water treatment plant is located next to the City’s public swimming pool and will complement its architecture.
Project Architect, Lime Dewatering Plant; St. Paul, MN. The project design includes a 10,000 s.f. addition to the existing plant, a bi-level connection link and renovations to the lunchroom, offices and toilets.
Project architect, Manufacturing Addition; MTS Systems, Eden Prairie, MN. The design includes a 43,000 s.f. manufacturing addition to the existing building. Amenities included; toilets, offices and loading dock.
Project Architect, Manufacturing Addition; Caterpillar Paving Products, Brooklyn Park, MN. The design includes a 92,000 s.f. manufacturing addition to the existing building. Amenities included: fitness center, vending rooms, office and conference space.
Religious
Principal-in-Charge, First Christian Church; Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. The project included the design for a new 12,000 s.f. worship facility. Spaces included: 300-seat sanctuary, baptistery, narthex, classrooms, future kitchen, fellowship hall, elevator and bathrooms.
Principal-in-Charge, First Church of the Nazarene; Community Plaza Addition; Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The project included the preliminary design for a new 5,000 s.f. community plaza addition. Spaces included: entry, library, storage, coffee lounge, coat storage and community gathering space.
